From the Mouths of Babes

We recently left our church home and are actively seeking a new one.  This was an incredibly difficult decision for us, but we see the fruit of it every day.  God is using this experience to draw us closer together as a couple, as a family and most importantly to Himself.

At times, there is still emotion about the people we no longer see weekly.  And at times there is a longing for elements of worship (particularly music) we were blessed by and have yet to find in our search.

So I was just so amazed and in awe of His working today when He used Lily to encourage me about this very thing:

"Mommy, just because we left our old church doesn't mean we have to stop singing those songs.  Those songs will always be in our hearts and heads.  God wants to hear them everywhere!"

This came out of nowhere.  I believe my previous comment to her was something along the lines of 'please don't dip your Goldfish crackers in your water cup.'  And yes, in case you don't know me well enough to guess this on your own, I absolutely cried after she said it.  Happy tears.  Thankful tears.  Joyful tears.  For how this little girl loves.  For how her heavenly father loves.  For the truth in her statement.
