Gabe really took to Halloween this year, especially after several weeks of 'practice' trick-or-treating. He had a great time while we were out in the neighborhood and the MOPS trunk-or-treat. Lily was not as thrilled about the experience. She was pretty fussy most of the time.
Word of advice though - if your husband is offered a gig on trick-or-treat night and you have two kids, one of whom wants to go out and one of whom wants to stay in and sleep, encourage him to turn the gig down. If not (trust me) you will be exhausted, frazzled, soaking wet, dealing with an over-tired infant and an over-sugared toddler. Plus, you'll be stuck carrying said infant, said toddler and TONS of candy up and down your neighborhood all night. While pushing the stroller you thought they would utilize!
On the plus side - because Gabe is such a loved little boy in our church, all the women brought us their leftover candy. We have chocolate for days! My plan is to tie the candy in with potty-training. We shall see...
Lily teething on a frozen bagel, not excited about getting ready.
Gabe rocking his Dino costume and requisite plastic pumpkin.
'Don't be sad Baby Lily. I am a dinosaur.'
Too much fun post trunk-or-treating at MOPS.
