Gabe declared over dinner on Valentine's Day that when he grows up, he's going to live in Spain in a villa with a beautiful wife (beautiful like his mom he says - this kid is trouble) who will make him pancakes any time he wants them. He's going to be a dad first and a teacher second. He told me I'd be allowed to visit him in Spain once a month and that he would pay for my plane tickets. Sounds like a pretty sweet deal to me.
I love this little man.
And I do pray for his future, should it be God's will for him to marry. I pray for a wife who loves and honors God and her husband. A woman who will support and be blessed by Gabe's gentle spirit and incredible kindness. I pray for a family for him to be able to shepherd. For children for him to raise in the way and truth of our heavenly father. I pray for him to know the happiness that comes from surrendering his life to Christ and seeing that through in his life with his family. And selfishly, I pray that I'll be here to witness it all.
(I suppose I should also be praying that this woman makes an amazing pancake!!)
