I've been a negligent blogger!

Summer has been flying by and I've been enjoying time with my husband at home (big plus being married to a teacher).

On a whim, Tim decided to plant a garden in early summer.  We've been enjoying zucchini and tomatoes and are excited to devour the watermelon and cantaloupe soon.  Our corn was NOT knee high by the 4th of July, but it's looking good this week.  Gabe planted pumpkins with his Grandpa.  They should be ready mid-October.  Fun to have around and decorate - maybe eat and bake with.

My man and his garden.

I'm completely crazy for these 3 people!

This is Lily's preferred hair style of late - though she complains in the car when the windows are down that 'the wind is making her eat her hair!'

Cannot believe this little man is headed to first grade this year.  He'll be in a Spanish Immersion program through our school district.  All Spanish, all the time.  We're looking forward to seeing how that unfolds - and how God can use this experience for the growing of His kingdom.

Lily is still Lily - strong-willed and sassy, kind and energetic.  She'll be attending pre-school in the fall, as well as ballet (where I assume they will request that I tame her hair so other children will be able to see over her!).

My goal this summer was to bake like crazy w/out using sugar or butter - SUCCESS!  I'm loving Pinterest and all the ideas over there for sugar and oil substitutions.  The zucchini from Tim's garden, which grows like CRAZY, has been so helpful in this area.

Blessings!
