Sesame Place

Tim is done with school, so we're taking advantage of the extra set of hands and trying to do a lot of family fun things.

Monday we headed to Sesame Place. Our kids don't watch Sesame Street - Lily isn't allowed to watch anything, and Gabe is just not a fan, but they still know and love the characters. Gabe's favorite is Cookie Monster (can't imagine why...) and Lily is an Elmo girl.

Tickets are $53 a person (young or old), but under 23 months are free. The $53 ticket is a 2-day pass that can be reused any day in this season. Parking is an extra $15, but the lots are very close to the actual park, which is a plus. You can get a AAA discount, find coupons online or visit your township office (at least in Delco) to get discounted tickets, but they aren't valid for the 2-day pass. Your ticket price with a discount would be $46 for one day. So you do the math...

They were so excited when we got to the park. Gabe was cheesin' like crazy and Lily kept saying, 'Elmo, Elmo, Elmo' and 'quack-quack, quack-quack' (8-foot rubber duckie suspended in the air).

I won't give you our play-by-play, but I will tell you this park was wonderful. It was clearly designed for younger munchkins. There wasn't a single ride that Gabe couldn't go on, and there was so much for Lily to do. The water rides were so much fun, and so clean. There were lots of lifeguards around. The lines moved quickly. The grounds themselves were really well kept. There were lots of shady spots to sit and rest or eat - you can bring in your own cooler with your own food.

There are shows - including an Elmo live performance and a parade with all the characters.

So from roller coasters to splash castles, raft rides to flying Elmo fish, our family highly recommends Sesame Place.

Lily loved the tea cups!

Lily didn't love the water at first, but she quickly warmed up to it

Gabe with Super Grover - in the back is the roller coaster we went on with him... multiple times!
