Halloween seemed very busy this year. We attended three Halloween/Harvest parties (Gymboree, YMCA, Gabe's pre-school) in addition to fun home activities and trick-or-treating. It was freezing here Friday night, and even bundled up, Gabe was done with trick-or-treating after about 45 minutes and opted to head home for a fire, some chocolate milk and The Great Pumpkin.

Gabe wanted to be a doctor this year. Before heading to our first Halloween event, he asked about taking people's heartbeats. We had to have a talk about putting our hands on other's chests before asking permission!
Lily cannot sleep without a stuffed elephant she calls 'Ella.' We thought it would be cute to dress her up as an elephant for Halloween. It was cute, but she HATED her costume!
Gymboree's Pumpkin Party was a lot of fun.
After five minutes, Lily was trying to get out of her elephant.

Nothing keeps these kids from bubbles.
We carved pumpkins with Gigi. Gabe touched the inside of a pumpkin once and then refused to go near it again. Lily was a little more curious - and even tried to eat some.
Even if he didn't help much, he sure looks cute next to the finished product.

It's finally time for trick-or-treat and the pumpkins were ready!
I toyed with getting Lily an Elmo costume, but couldn't justify $40 for one, so I bought her this $4 Elmo basket on clearance at Target. Great find!
